An Oxford University graduate, Sarah trained at magic circle city firm, Slaughter and May, qualifying into their commercial real estate department.

Expertise

Sarah has over 15 years’ experience of all aspects of commercial property practice, including all property matters involved in corporate mergers and acquisitions, secured lending such as securitisations and mortgage debenture stock, development work and landlord and tenant matters.

Particular cases of interest

• Representing a well know retailer on the disposal of its Kensington department store to a supermarket chain, conditional on planning. The deal involved both the landlord and a separate tenant of the upper floors as the sale was preceded by a surrender of the second floor which was to be re-let to the other tenant and necessitated major works.

• Acting for a major house builder in establishing a joint venture with its lender to build out a residential development at Falcons Wharf, Battersea.

• Advising an international leisure company on the property aspects of the disposal of its European hotels business and associated health clubs and subsequent intra-group transfer of its head office premises.
